Washington Christian Center Vacation Bible Camp

Welcome to WCC's Vacation Bible Camp (VBC) web page!

Our camp is designed to be an exciting and fun time for campers and staff. Activities are plentiful and done in a way to magnify Christ! Also, we seek to explore what the Bible has to say about people of color. To that end, our camp is called, "Camp Cush." As the Bible details, Noah's son Cush became the ancestor of people from Africa. This doesn't mean our camp is only for black kids. Far from it! We all need to learn of the well documented part that people of color played in the Bible. God doesn't favor, or condemn, anyone based on the color of their skin (or any other physical features). This helps everyone to see that God is no respecter of persons. God looks upon our hearts!

For these reasons, we seek to show everyone that blacks also have reason to find hope, acceptance and equality in the Bible. In addition, we hope that by revealing God's truth, racial harmony and self respect will replace anger, degradation and strife. The degradation, anger and resulting strife are what Satan desires for all men. God wants us to know him and the love he has for us in his son, Jesus Christ. This love and harmony come as we learn more about God. As we learn more about God's word, we see that God wants all of his children to love one another and that he values all of his children.
